a wonderful 6 days! The cabin was much more than expected.
Stone Mountain was amazing. We visited Mt. Airy, (home of Andy Griffith)
and found it to be a very interesting old town. Our drive on the
Blue Ridge Parkway was breathtaking. A visit to the candle outlet
is a must!"

stay at Waterfall Hideaway was wonderful. Just what we were looking
for, a mountain get away from our busy lives in New York. It snowed
a few inches on the 30th which made a beautiful New Year's Eve. It
definitely beat Time Square!"

"A
funny thing happened to us this weekend. Saturday morning, Earl stepped
onto the porch to get some firewood. I came out to enjoy the view
- we were both in our pajama's (which for Earl isn't much!) I pulled
the door behind me and a bit of panic set in as we realized we were locked
out! What a secure little cabin - all of the windows and doors were
shut up tight. Fortunately, we keep a spare key on the car and we
drove down to Tom and Peg's (caretakers). Luckily, they were at home
(and a little surprised to receive company in such a state!) Peg
was happy to loan us her spare key. Yay! We really enjoyed
our stay here. What a tranquil way to focus on the things that truly
matter."
